Started in 2020 and hosted by renowned vampire enthusiast, Maven of the Eventide (aka Elisa Hansen), the Vampire Book Club seeks to experience and discuss all that vampire literature has to offer.
Each month a book is chosen off of her shelves of unread vampire literature (of which she's gathered and been gifted quite a bit over the years). During the month members are encouraged to read through the book and discuss their thoughts, questions, joys, and concerns on her discord server. At the end of each month (usually around the 13th) everyone gathers on her YouTube channel for a livestream in which she recounts the plot of the book (spoilers included), gives her own thoughts, takes queries and comments from the chat, and announces the next book for the club.
Book options are generally voted on (though not always) in the discord server, from three options sharing a similar theme (YA, male authors, graphic novels/manga, etc.). The only prerequisite is that it is currently on Maven's shelves and that it features vampires in one way or another.
