It's that time of year when we attempt to balance out the end-of-year and religious-holiday stress with spending time with family and friends. And if the onslaught of Christmas movies is starting to wear on your nerves as well, Disney films are a great alternative. Our family has always cherished Disney movies, owning nearly all of them (updating formats over the years), and you can see plenty of familiar faces adorning our shelves, beds, and clothes.
But what if you're looking for a quieter, more solitary form of nostalgia? Well, they've got you covered there, too, with a ton of written media coming out in the past few years. Some books have given rise to new franchises, like
Artemis Fowl and
Percy Jackson, while others seek to expand on existing properties, like the
Kingdom Keepers or
Twisted Tales.
Partly inspired by a certain internet movie reviewer, but mostly because it sounds fun, I decided I wanted to combine this nostalgia-infused time of year with exploring some of these Disney books by dedicating the month of December to all that is Disney!
